Actor Oh Kwang-rok will star in movie "Rock N Roll Grandpa" as a grandpa roll, who is a great mental support for MBLAQ Seungho, who plays Ho-tae.
Ho-tae lived in Seoul while he was a trainee for a band on a contract. When he realizes that his agency has been taking advantage of him, he comes down to Busan along with his weak mother to settle down. The movie shows the episodes he experiences while he attends a small band academy in Busan. The story delivers the warmhearted picture conveyed in the interaction through music, and their efforts trying to make a turnaround in life.
Oh Kwang-rok's role, Tae-soo provides Ho-tae with a great mental support. While helping out his grandson, he comes back as a musician from his day job, anchovy fisher.
In his younger days, he was a super talented member of The Legend, an influential music band at the time. He left the band when he misunderstood his team members due to the crafty plot by his manager. He goes through the healing process of his mental scars from the past.
MBLAQ Seungho, Ha Eun-seol, singer Yoon Soo-il also star in the movie. In addition, the top musicians including Ham Choon-ho, Kang Soo-ho, Hong Joon-ho and Song Young-joo have joined in the production of the music in the movie.
"Rock N Roll Grandpa" will begin filming soon while it is slated to be released in October next year.
