SEOUL, Sept. 11 (Yonhap) -- Seungho of the boy band MBLAQ was assaulted by a former director of his agency on Friday, police said.
The two were drinking at a bar in the southern Seoul district of Sinsa around 3 a.m. when the former official allegedly hit Seungho with a glass, the Gangnam Police Station said.
Seungho called the police to say he was hit by a glass, but later changed his testimony to say he was slapped on the cheek. The former director admitted to the allegation, police said.
The agency apologized over the incident in a statement released later Friday.
"The man used to work for us two years ago. There seems to have been a misunderstanding between the two, who were with other acquaintances at the bar," J. Tune Camp said. "Seungho doesn't wish to punish the man. We apologize for this incident, which was uncalled for."
The case is expected to close without further investigation as per Seungho's wish.
