KNN has announced that a press conference for the movie “Rock and Roll Grandpa” will be held in Gijang County, Busan.
On Nov. 9, at 3 pm, at the Gijang County Art Hall, a press conference will be held for the musical film "Rock and Roll Grandpa" (play by Choi In Hwan, directed by Lee Jang Hee). Some of the attendants will be KNN's president, Busan Film Commission secretary, Busan Film Festival vice chairman, director Park Min Ho, producer Lee Jang Hee, and Yang Seung Ho, Oh Kwang Rok, Yoon Soo Il and other members of the cast. Alongside 20 journalists, a total of 100 people will be joining the event.
The movie, that tells the story of an aspiring young man and his dreams and an old man who has lost his and how they connect with the assistance of music amid the natural landscape of the spacious Gijang, is expected to be an inspiring tale about second chances framed by the natural beauty of Busan.
Yang Seung Ho of Mblaq plays the lead role and Oh Kwang Rok, Ha Eun Seol and singer Yoon Soo Il, among others, are also in the cast. In particular, the music production for the film will count with the participation of musicians like Ham Chun Ho, Kang Su Ho and Song Yung Joo, thus raising the interest on the movie.
In addition, this drama produced in TV movie format, will be screened at Busan International Film Festival (in 2016), premiering at Diversity Films Theater (in 2016) and released both domestically and abroad via TV, introducing a new model for the Busan based channel. Aimed to be released in October next year, the film will start shooting soon with Gijang County in the background.
