South Koreans MBLAQ were no longer the innocent children of K-Pop and have become men able to raise the pace towards oriental other musical genres. A clear example is the single 'Be a Man', included in their sixth and latest EP 'Broken', the material to be presented Monday at the Pepsi Center WTC in what will be their second show in Mexico in less than a year.
"MBLAQ has really matured as a group and 'Be a Man' shows, it leads to a completely new style. There's something about the song that reminds us of some soul ballads like Sade.
"The piano and string accents throughout the song are subtle and absolutely gorgeous. Moreover, the use of rap is also well executed", reported the South Korean music specialist Kpopstarz site.
To accompany the album, the members of the boyband (Seungho, GO, Lee Joon, Cheondung,and Mir) show a new image with new haircuts, formal clothes and less makeup.
During their show in the capital, the band will include hits like 'Just Blaq', 'Mona Lisa', 'Smokey Girl', and 'Your Luv', among others. And even though the Koreans maintain a friendship with Reik, this time the Mexican trio is not accompanied, according to their personal manager.
The Korean newspaper The Korea Herald recently reported that G.O was chosen as Best Newcomer for his role in the musical Seopyeonje during the 8th Music Awards which is considered like a Tony in Korea.
