110224 Crea Star Magazine Interview

PART 1

- How’s the dorm life?
We recently hung and decorated a wind protection sheet that we bought from the hardware store in front of our place. We also received a yellow color moon shaped stand from our Japanese fans. But because it uses 110 volts (Korea is 220), we had to buy a voltage convertor from the hardware store, for we didn’t have one at home. It gives off a heartwarming feel.

- When do you feel that you’re the best and coolest?
The moment I awaken from my sleep, I don’t know why but I feel a little worn out. At the moment I think I look my coolest (laughs)

- Do tell us, who MBLAQ is close friends with in other girl and boy groups?
I’m close to Gyuri from Kara, for she is my junior (hoobae) from school, as for 87er friends, they are Fei from missA and I’m really close to Seulong from 2AM.

- How did you meet 2AM’s Seulong?
Seulong and I are the same ages. We’ve had oversea public performance together before. We were placed in the same room and talked started talking to each other. We’ve become close because Seulong and I are kindred spirits. We are so close we share secrets with one another.

- How do you spend your time when there’s no schedule?
I’ll take lessons, meet up with my family, go to the cinema and eat out with the other members or meet up with my schoolmates from before my debut.

PART 2

- What do you mostly do in the dorm?
SeungHo: We mostly pass our time watching movies. Recently there’s an increase of good televisions, isn’t there. Like a wall-mounted television…although, we don’t have such a nice television, in fact our television stand isn’t really a television stand, it’s also our speakers. Our manager placed the television on top of the speakers. On top of that, even the sofa we’re using was something left behind by the previous tenant of our place (laugh).

- So your parents are the “uses things for a long time” types.
SeungHo: Since you mentioned it, when I was just a trainee, I’ve been to Joon’s house once to service his computer, since then his mother has always called me (laugh).

- Seungho, are you an electronics otaku*?
SeungHo: If you just took one look into my bag and you’ll understand, the weight is not normal for something you take on the go. It is not something that anyone could pick up easily because it has all sorts of electronics in there. There’s all sorts of things like a cellphone adapter, USB ports and etc…
*T/N: Otaku in modern Japanese slang, refers to a fan of any particular theme, topic, or hobby. (Explanation from Wikipedia)

- Due to living together, I’m sure there are walls you would want to break down, if you got into an argument, how would you deal with it?
SeungHo: I’m not sure if there are many things that are accumulated but when if comes out in our conversations it doesn’t ends without resolving it. Even if it is disclosed during the night, it is carefully resolved. If that isn’t possible, then they won’t talk about it from the start. Like “there are things that younger ppl know” and “there are things older ppl know” so if it’s something that can be tolerated, they will make the effort to not discuss it from the start. If it is something that they really are unable to tolerate, then its something that should be discussed and resolved among all of us.

- Were there any words from Rain before you resumed your activities?
Seungho: During our long inactivity period, there was a time where we fell into a slump, but it was him who gave us power during that time and pulled us out from that situation. This time as well, he did not say too many words, but each time we met he would tell us, “This time you can definitely do this”, as a clue which he provided, from then on we began to gain confidence step by step.
